Welcome to Asking For Trouble
Asking For Trouble is the crafty pseudonym of Marceline Smith, an artist and designer based in Glasgow, Scotland.
I make a range of handmade accessories, stationery and gifts inspired by Japan. My current collection includes fabric purses, covered notebooks, felt flower brooches, vintage ribbon keyrings and badge sets, all of which mix up modern and cute patterns with vintage materials and traditional designs. Everything is made with care and love with careful detailing and materials sourced from around the world.
I'm a fine arts graduate from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, specialising in Printmaking. My work has recently been displayed at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, NB Gallery in Wiltshire, Timespan Gallery in Sutherland and currently at The Park Gallery in Falkirk.
