Japanese Whispers Zine
This zine by Lisa is part of my new hand-picked selection of zines about Japan.
Despite having a degree in Japanese Studies, Lisa had never visited Japan. She finally made it over in November 2012 and travelled around Japan visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima, Kamakura and Nikko. Packed with writing and photos in a cool cut and paste style, this travelogue zine tells us what she got up to in each place, where she stayed and tips on vegetarian restaurants. It also includes travel tips, a mini travel guides and a handy hiragana/katakana cheat sheet. Great for anyone planning a trip, as well as those who want to relive their own Japan visits.
