You may remember I am working through a series of grid-based crafts for my own amusement. The first one was perler beads and I’ve now moved on to Tapestry*
I’ve gone on about Tapestry so much in the last couple of years that I hoped someone would spare me the decision making and buy me a kit as a gift but it hasn’t happened so far. Luckily, I found a great deal on the new kits by Anna Maria Horner so I ordered one myself (from here). I love her fabric designs and she seems like a sewing pro so I thought it would be a good place to start. It will hopefully look like this when complete.

You may have heard that Royal Mail are raising their prices significantly on April 30th. It’s quite a blow for a lot of small businesses, especially those with international customers. I’ve spent the weekend doing some incredibly tedious things including re-weighing all my products and packaging and making the world’s most boring spreadsheet comparing my current and future costs. The good news is that prices won’t actually be rising that much for the majority of my products. However, if you’re outside Europe, buying multiple items might get a bit pricey. Anyway, here’s the main points.
1. I’ve made some initial changes to my weights and prices on my own shop. Some prices have actually gone down, but there’s now a fixed minimum postage cost regardless of whether you buy a single card or a notepad, so buying a few things is more cost-effective. You can check the pricing here.
2. On (or around) May 1st I’ll be updating the postage prices on all my shops to match the new Royal Mail prices (so take advantage and place your orders this month!). I do also have some stamps hoarded, which will slow the price rise for UK orders.
3. Australia is getting a particularly hard time and has been singled out for special extra high postage. I get quite a few orders from Australia and find this rather mean so I’ll be covering those extra costs myself. You’re welcome!
4. Don’t forget, there’s also a flat rate international shipping option for orders over £20 (and free shipping in the UK) so it might be worth saving up for a big order!
5. And finally, since the new prices start climbing drastically once you hit the parcel stage, I’ll be discontinuing a few bulky products, specifically the Jammie Dodger mugs. I’ve only got about five left so snap one up now.
If you made it this far, then you get to look at another of my new Badge Boxes. They include ten themed badges in a little pillow box and you can choose from either Kawaii Food (at the top) or Cute Animals (below). They’re quite a bargain and you can also pick up a box of random badges if you fancy a surprise.

I hit a milestone of sorts this weekend as my website went over its bandwidth. I appreciate the extra interest but now I’ll have to think about upgrading my hosting. Swings and roundabouts. Apologies if you tried to visit and found the site down. March was a long month so it seemed a bit hasty to upgrade without seeing what happens in April first.
Anyway, while I sort everything out, you have a last chance to take my survey and enter the prize draw for a Zazzle spending spree. I’ve been adding more cute things, like tea towels! Plus the giveaway on my Facebook page will also be closing today. So get your skates on!
I also think April Fool’s Day should always be on a Sunday. No-one seems to have bothered at all so far, which suits me fine.

I hope you’ve been having lovely weather this week too! It’s been the best birthday present. I always get so much more done, plus I also manage to leave the house a bit more often. Anyway, here’s a few photos from the last week.

Glasgow Green on two different days. I do like having such a big park round the corner from my house, and West is always great for meetings and catch-ups.

And some purchases – my new glasses and sunglasses, and a cute polka dot cardigan.
I think I better get out again today and make the most of the sunshine while it lasts.

I might have gone a little bit crazy updating my Zazzle store, but there’s just so many cool things to add my designs to. Like pillows, in all my favourite patterns. You may spot some new patterns too, coming soon to Spoonflower.

Or iPad cases, which are great fun for trying out different edging and lining colours. I kind of really want an iPad now. Luckily, they also do laptop covers so I might get on that next.

And plates! Plastic plates, but still awesome for your summer picnics! And yes, there is one of Monsieur Le Bun with ‘bon appetit!’ on it.
You can see all this and more at my Zazzle store. US prices but they ship worldwide. Sign up for their emails to get some great discounts.

Although I started selling fabric quite quickly on Spoonflower, it took AGES for anyone to send me a photo of it in use. Thankfully, that seems to be changing so I thought I’d show you a few photos I’ve been sent recently. The Blythe dress above is by Emma. I love that she’s just used it for detailing – a great way to use up small pieces.

Here’s another dress, this time for a Fairyland Little Fee doll. This one is by Jen and has cute ruffles! Jen makes dresses as Spampy Stuff if you want to see more of her work.

And finally, a cool tote bag, which Ryan made for a friend. Nice work.
If you’ve used my fabric for something I would love to see it, especially if it’s not Bunny and Panda – they are definitely the most popular purchase!
