SALE SALE SALE!
By Marceline | December 29, 2009
It’s sale time in the shop so why not grab yourself a bargain? All my Christmas stuff is majorly discounted with cards just 50p each and calendars almost sold out. I’ve also put loads of other stuff on sale that I don’t plan on making any more. If there’s something you like in the sale section, then it’s likely to be your last chance to buy it! There’s also free UK shipping on all orders over £10.
When I return properly in futuristic 2010 I’m going to be streamlining my product range and bringing in some new designs. There’s a whole lot of stuff bubbling around in my head and I need to sit down and plan it all out. You will definitely be the first to know though!
Until then, stay warm and have a Happy New Year!

Have a cute Christmas!
By Marceline | December 23, 2009
Well, Christmas is almost here and I’ll be getting on a train Up North tomorrow. I just want to thank you all for reading my blog and buying my stuff and coming to markets and saying hello. Obviously I’d be nothing without you, so THANK YOU! I hope you all have lots of festive fun and snow.
I’m really looking forward to some time with my sketchbook so I can come up with some new things and also check out all the ideas I’ve been scribbling recently and see if they’re any good!
I’m going to be adding some mega discounts in the shop over the next couple of days so keep an eye out if you’d like a bargain. I’ll also be discontinuing a few products so I can either improve them or try something different. I’ll keep you posted!
You can also read about some of my favourite things from 2009 over at my other site diskant – we’ll be doing a series of round-up articles starting tomorrow at 10am.
CHRISTMAS SHIPPING
In case you were wondering, I won’t be shipping any orders over Christmas but will start shipping again in the first week of January, probably the 4th for small packages and the 7th for things that need to go to the post office. I’ll still be checking my email though so feel free to get in touch if you need something sooner and I’ll do my best to help!

Last Ordering Day
By Marceline | December 20, 2009

Firstly, apologies to anyone expecting to find me at Glisten today. From yesterday’s experience and our combined illness recovery situations, we decided it would be certifiably insane for us to spend another day sitting in sub-zero temperatures. If you’re in Edinburgh though, please to pop along to the Grassmarket and buy something from the poor frozen sellers.
Favourite part of yesterday – when it suddenly SNOWED! It went from normal cold day to the above in a literal 5 minute blizzard – amazing to watch. Today we have proper exciting snow in Glasgow too – I really can’t believe we might get a white Christmas!
Anyway, speaking of Christmas, today is your very last day to get an order in to one of my shops. 8pm GMT is the cut off – anything received before then will be posted First Class on Monday which should get it to you in time for Christmas Day. If you order between 8pm and whenever I go to the post office, there’s a chance I will still get your order in the mail but no promises.
There’s also FREE SHIPPING on all UK orders over £10, plus a free calendar magnet. Go buy!

Last Chances!
By Marceline | December 17, 2009
I’m thinking of posting a dodgy iPhone pic on Flickr every day next year. Might be fun. Above is my stall at the Dundee Christmas Craft Fair last weekend which was awesome fun. Lovely venue, lots of buyers and I even got to meet hellojenuine. Fun times.
This weekend is my final market weekend of 2009 so come along if you need some last minute gifts. I’ll be at Glisten! on the Grassmarket in Edinburgh, though apparently in a heated marquee, not out in the elements. I will be bringing my new panda mittens either way. Once again, I’m sharing a stall with Miso Funky and Super Cute Kawaii so there will be lots to choose from! We’ll be there on Saturday and Sunday – check my events page for all the details.
If you can’t make it to Edinburgh then all is not lost as I’m taking Christmas orders right up to 8pm on Sunday 20th. All orders received by then will be posted on the 21st and should be with UK folks in time for Christmas Day. If you’re outside of the UK you can still order but it’s extremely unlikely you’ll get your parcel in time. After the 20th, I’ll be taking a break from shipping until 2010 but more info on that next week. Plus I’m still sending out a FREE MAGNET with all orders over £10 (while stocks last, but I still have a fair few left).
Wait, panda mittens, you ask?
Oh yes. Nicolette got me them for my early Christmas present from Artbox. They are so awesome and are even on a string so I don’t lose them. Marvellous.

Market Weekend #3 (and some news!)
By Marceline | December 10, 2009

Sorry for my absence this week – I’ve been feeling sorry for myself with a nasty cold. Awesome timing, of course. Apologies to anyone who came along to last weekend’s markets and had to deal with my croaky bundled-up self! I am on the mend and orders are being shipped pretty much as normal.
Clearly, I am insane as I’ll be getting up at stupid o’clock on Saturday to make my way to Dundee for the Christmas Craft Fair in Caird Hall. But I’m very excited about this as I’m a big fan of Dundee but never have any particular reason to go there. If you’re around, I would love to see you – and look out for the awesome Julia Smith Ceramics too as she’s doing all the driving.
On Sunday, I’ll be back in Glasgow for the West End Winter Fair at Oran Mor. This is especially cool as it’s going to feature an Asking For Trouble / Miso Funky / Super Cute Kawaii extravaganza stall so come down for some kawaii as well as your usual handmade gifts. We’re even trying to coax Monsieur Le Bun along for an appearance so how can you miss it?
As always, check my events page for all the details.
In other news, all Christmas cards are now in the Bargain Corner at just £1 each and there’s still a free calendar magnet with all orders over £10. If you’re outside of the UK then I’m afraid your order probably won’t arrive before Christmas but UK folks can order right up until Sunday 20th, though the sooner the better really!
Oh and one last thing, if you’re hoarding a discount card for my shop, all codes expire at the end of 2009 so use it soon!

New stockist and press
By Marceline | November 17, 2009
I’m sure you’re bored of hearing how busy I am so here is the news:

I have another new stockist, which is the marvellously named Loopy Lorna’s Tea House. It’s my first Edinburgh stockist and they’re situated in Morningside amongst lots of other lovely shops and a branch of Waitrose so ideal for an afternoon of shopping.
On offer will be items from my Cakeify and Friends range, including cards, notebooks and badges. They also have a range of exclusive teas and some amazing home baking to tempt you too. I came home with a lovely custard cream that was so enormous it took me two days to get through! Hope you can make it along sometime.

I’ve also had two web features this week – a featured seller interview on DaWanda and a nice feature on Print and Pattern. Check out my press page for more!
I’m off to London over the weekend for the Enterprise Nation Home Business conference. Should be an interesting day and we finally get to see our appearance in their documentary from earlier in the year. I just bought a shiny new iPhone so I may well be blogging and tweeting from the road. How exciting!

Also, do check out the new cross stitch kits and bags by Miso Funky – I did the design work on these and they’ve turned out amazing.

Giveaway Winners!
By Marceline | November 4, 2009

I had to get my old friend the Random Number Generator to give me a hand, as too many people I know entered! And then it didn’t pick any of them anyway.
So congratulations to Andrew B who gets a Jammie Dodger notepad to write manly thoughts in and to the green gal who gets a Vintage Flowers notepad and can join me in flipping pages and looking important. I’ll be emailing you shortly for your addresses.
Thanks everyone else for entering – your design suggestions have been written in my notepad so you might just see some of those turning up soon. In the meantime, both notepads are available in the shop for a bargainous £4.50.

Spoonflower Marketplace
By Marceline | October 15, 2009

Exciting times! The Spoonflower marketplace is now open, which means all my fabric designs available to order on any kind of fabric you like, in any kind of size you like! Hurray! This is especially good if you live in the USA as shipping will be much cheaper than getting it from me.
I’ll have more to post about this soon, plus more designs and colourways to make available but I hope you’ll take a look. If you do order some fabric, I’d love to see what you use it for.
I’m still working away on lots of stuff and waiting very impatiently for lots of packages to arrive – there will be more blogging tomorrow!
