Holiday Giveaway

It’s that time of the year where I actually stop doing shop stuff for a bit and instead go out in the snow, eat chocolate, watch TV and write a load of zines. Posting may be sparse over the next week (or I might be bored and post lots, who knows) so here’s a little giveaway to tide you over.

I have two prize packs up for grabs:

1. The Jammie Dodger – includes Jammie Dodger notebook (old style), Cakeify charm, Vintage Flowers notepad, Lucky Bag, Cookie Cute gift wrap and a happy cookie ornament.

2. The Happy Orange – includes hand-coloured Happy Orange notebook, Bread Slice charm, Vintage Flowers notepad, Lucky Bag, Cookie Cute gift wrap and a double-sided happy/sad cookie ornament.

To enter, leave a comment telling me what you enjoyed most on my blog this year, whether that’s a single post or a group, eg, my Tokyo shopping posts or monthly updates. If you can’t decide, tell me what you’d like me to post about more.

Make sure you tell me which prize pack you would prefer to win as I will split the comments into two groups and choose a winner from each!

Closing date is sometime early January. I’ll update nearer the time. Good luck!

Cookie Cute Free Printable!

Mini cookie garland

It’s December, so I have a cute freebie for you, to make some Cookie Cute decorations.  It comes with a happy cookie, a sad bitten cookie and a star plus instructions for double sided ornaments and a garland. However, you could also use them for stickers, place cards, tags or anything else you fancy.

If you want a go, click here to find out more and download the file.

Cookie Cute ornaments

I made a double-sided ornament and a mini garland – I just got my printer to scale it to 50% and print 2 on a sheet and it turned out really cute! If you make something yourself, I would love to see photos – you can send them to me or share them on my Facebook page.

PS. If you like this, I suggest you come to the Made in the Shade Holiday Hullabaloo next weekend, where I will have some make your own ornament postcards, free with all purchases over £2! If there are any left over, I’ll be sending them out with orders too.

Please note – these are for personal use only. Do not sell items made with this printable or resell/distribute the file without my permission. Thank you!

New Ghost Owners

Pocket Ghosts

The pocket ghosts are all packaged up so it’s time to find out where they’re going. I very much enjoyed looking at all the cute ghosts you posted, but here are my favourite three, in no particular order.

Awww! This sad little ghost is available from Ji Ji Kiki, and was suggested by Azed.

This adorable Halloween bento was made by mymealbox and was suggested by jojoebi.

And finally, some amazing Rilakkuma papercraft toys posted by Paperkraft.net and suggested by Yoshi. If you like those, you should check out this years’ Halloween Rilakkuma toys – blub!

Congratulations to all the winners! Check your inboxes for my email and send me your addresses so I can post off your ghosts. Wooo! (by the way, I don’t know which ghost is in which package so it’ll be a surprise for you!)

Thanks everyone else for entering – we’ll do it again sometime.

Pocket Ghosts Giveaway

Pocket Ghost Giveaway

As promised, here is your chance to win a ghost to put in your pocket! They’re made from glittery Fimo and will be happy sitting on a shelf or hanging out in your pocket. I have 3 to give away, as pictured above. You’ll also get some spooky wooky stickers and maybe some other surprises too.

To enter, leave a comment with a link to a cute ghost for me. It can be something you’ve drawn or made, or just one you’ve seen online. You can enter as many times as you can find cute ghosts (leave a separate comment for each) and it can be in any form, though I get impatient with videos so keep those very short.

Get your links in by 12pm BST on Friday 14th 21st October and I’ll pick my favourites shortly after. I can’t wait to see what you find!

Small print – ghosts are accepted at your own risk. No compensation if it turns evil or curdles your milk.

Giveaway at Hawaii Kawaii

I’m sponsoring a giveaway over at cute blog Hawaii Kawaii just now. Head on over for a chance to win a big prize pack containing a Busy Bee Organiser, Tokyo Shopping guide zine, Cakeify phone charm and Happy Orange card, plus assorted badges, stickers and gift wrap!

Which makes me realise it’s been a while since I had a giveaway on this here blog. I will think of something fun to do soon.

Get your free swatch!

It’s that time again – Free Swatch Day on Spoonflower. Starting right now*, for the next 24 hours you can buy a swatch of any design on the Spoonflower marketplace for zero pence – you don’t even have to pay shipping!

If you’ve been thinking of making something with my fabric, you can check out the pattern size and colours, and you can order it on any of the fabric base options, from silk to canvas. You could also buy one of the thousands of other awesome designs on site, or upload your own.

Swatches are 8″x8″ so there’s enough for very small projects – there are some great ideas of things to make on this Flickr thread.

I can’t decide what to order – I’ll probably be boring and get one of my designs on a different base to add to my swatch book. According to Spoonflower, the above are my most popular designs.

Let me know if you order any of mine!

*If I got my time zones right.
