Paper Felt Flower Brooch Badges

Is what I could have called these, but I settled for Vintage Flower Badges. I think I made the right decision.
I love making felt flower brooches, especially the ones with vintage buttons. My favourite bit is picking out the perfect colours of felt and thread to match the buttons and seeing them all laid out together. It’s always a little sad when I have to let them go, although that does mean I get to make more. Below are some of my favourite brooches that I’ve made.

And here they are re-imagined in illustration! I was originally intending this for a pattern but then I thought it would be awesome to turn them into little badges, so I did. And now you can buy them in the shop!

I’ll have these with me at the Mono market tomorrow and look out for an exciting related announcement on Monday!

These are so wonderful! It’s great to see the before and after shots, even though the befores are also really wonderful . . . I can’t decide which I like best – the fabric ones, or the copies of the fabric ones!
Oh, and yes, you settled on the right name!

Hi there!
i’ve been making little felp brooches just like yours! I was looking for some inspiration for future designs. Yours are lovely!! Do you sell them and if so what would you charge? I’m a teacher and just do this for fun, so i’ve given loads to friends and family. Great to see your collection
