New exhibition

Exciting news as I have been asked to take part in another exhibition, this time at the Park Gallery in Falkirk. My things will be alongside the main attraction, new works by ceramic artist Craig Mitchell. His stuff looks amazing and I’m really looking forward to seeing it up close.

I’ve just finished the last few pieces of my collection and I’ll be delivering it all at the weekend ready for the opening next week. I’ve made a set of fabric purses using all Japanese fabrics for both the outsides and the linings and vintage buttons all round. Also included are a set of washi covered notebooks using a range of handmade Japanese papers with chiyogami patterns and Japanese sticker embellishments. As a little extra, I’ve made some matching badge sets using the same papers and fabrics as the purses and notebooks. This was the first time I’d tried fabric badges and they look lovely and really cute.

The exhibition starts on the 19th January and runs through until the 23rd February. Hope you can make it along! The exhibition is free and everything is for sale. I’ll be posting up lots of photos of the work on Flickr.
